On device
Hatchery Journal privacy
Hatchery Journal does not collect personal data. Incubation records stay on the device, and the app does not use third-party analytics or advertising.
On-device only
When you log a set, the app keeps what you enter on that iPhone: batch name, species, egg count, start time, planned days, temperature, humidity, an optional note, and whether the batch is active or completed. History and the period totals are calculated from those local records. They are not uploaded to Hatchery Journal, and they are not shared with an analytics or advertising service.
You can edit or delete a record in History. Because the ledger is stored on the device, deleting a record removes it there, and uninstalling the app removes its local data from that device.
No analytics and no ads
The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking. These marketing pages do not load remote scripts, analytics, or advertising either.
Estimates stay estimates
A countdown and a projected finish are calculated on the device from the species and the values you enter. Cycle length follows the bird. The chicken figure of 21 days is marked approximate. Nothing in the app is a promise that a batch will hatch on that day.
If you email us
Support mail is optional. A message you send goes through your own email service to Hatchery Journal at the address below, and it is used to answer that message. Writing in does not create an account, and it is separate from the incubation ledger on your device.
